Somewhere in Los Angeles, a group of car enthusiasts meet on a roof top to shoot shit about cars and watch the new Fast and Furious. This group, as you'll see, is full of variety and, fortunately, very kind.

One of the most interesting cars there was a JDM, RHD RX7. A pair of friends drove this and an R34 down from Canada this week to visit.

An Impreza rally car with a 2.0 STI engine, no sway bars, a full cage and a ton of other rally bits. It looked like a blast. It was between an SVX and Z32 TT

A whole gaggle of FRS/BRZs showed up

My Z32 and the NA SR20 Datsun Roadster

Z34 Nismo

R35 and R32. The size difference is staggering

A pair of Lexus show cars. The older IS was ridiculously low. The rear aero was nearly scrapping the ground.

What an odd pair...plus a lovely 996 GT3

A very, very nicely modified NSX

This is the kind of attention you get when your muscle car has a 2JZ

I was hoping the parking lot when I went to see the movie last night would've had more fun cars but the only interesting ones there were my 135is and my friend's Grand Cherokee SRT. Disappointing.

Huh, I was always under the impression that painting a DeLorean was very difficult since the paint didn't like sticking to the stainless (I might be wrong, I'm not a paint expert by any means). I guess with the right technique it'd be possible.

I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest! I've seen black, red, yellow, and even pink but I don't think I've ever seen white

A Hellcat Charger, a Nissan Leaf and Z go onto a roof together. I don't know what to add to make it a joke, but it's an interesting combo. Also I do like how the Hollywood sign is in this one.

What's amazing is that all across the country, similar meets were being held before the trips to the movie theaters. I'm in DC and can think of 10 different meets that happened all last night, and many more planned this weekend. Great show of cars too!

Mostly Japanese and mostly very modern—you see this stuff on the freeway everyday. The Datsun roadster was the most interesting. Vintage and uncommon is good.

Not the first time I have seen this aftermarket front bumper on a Z32, and also not the first time seeing it with a license plate mounted right in front and dead center of where it needs air the most. I always wonder if the car is getting enough cooling air. Same with any RX8 I suppose.

What a great group. And if you've lived in Los Angeles for any length of time and tend to drive up to the roof of every parking structure by default, this location is not a mystery at all. One of the best in the city, if not the best.... but I'll do my best to keep the secret.

I am really digging this about the "younger" car guys. (By that I mean under 40.) Here in Milwaukee, I will hit up some meets and it ranges all across the board. You have all the usual suspects of 350Z's, STI's, EVO's, but also see the domestics represented with Challenger's, Chargers, Mustangs and Camaros, a few more exotics in the mix with a a MP4-12c and Gallardo. Still, I am usually the lone British car unless a Mini shows up, but everyone is always welcomed. It always seems like the older generation is either Ford, Chevy or Mopar and don't really care about anything else.

Hey Fresno has a large amout of car enthusiasts. Every sunday a streen known as Blackstone avenue also gets packed with street racers. True car enthusiast over here take our cars to the curved roads that lead to plenty of awesome places such as Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequioa National Park and so on. Fresno on its own is pretty crappy though but the same thing can be said about LA for example.

This happened on top of the staples store on sunset,... and is funny because our car group is also having a meet to watch the release of F&F7, and because of increased police activity, we're also keeping the location a secret.

This is off of Sunset Blvd. and Cahuenga in Los Angeles. Right by the CNN tower on sunset. Probably the parking garage where the move theater is, its the only one in that area that can fit so many cars on a roof.

I am almost positive this Datsun has been upgraded with a SR20 Neova engine. If not there is another one in LA that has been and it has 14k rev limit.

This was a great group of people last night. The really funny thing? I was so burned out from work that I was not thinking and left the keys in the ignition in my car when I arrived at 7. In the Datsun roadster, with the top down. Everyone was laughing when we came out from the movie and I found my keys, at 1 am..
